Alyssa Forster, DVM

Chief of Staff

"Dr. Alyssa is a lover of animals, adventures, and the beach. These interests led her to the University of Rhode Island, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a minor in Biology. After a few years managing a small animal hospital, she decided to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian herself. This chapter steered her to St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Alyssa's main goal in veterinary medicine is to help people keep their furry family members happy and healthy so that they can be part of their lives for as long as possible.

Dr. Alyssa is proud to be a “Fear Free Elite” Certified Professional and acts as Berkeley Veterinary Center’s Fear Free Advocate and Coordinator. Dr. Alyssa realizes that visits to the vet are always going to be stressful for some pets but does her best to focus on both the medical and emotional well-being of her patients. Dr. Alyssa’s favorite “Fear Free” tip is to bring your pet hungry to their appointment, and if they have a favorite treat, bring it with you!

At home, Dr. Alyssa spends her time with her husband, and their two children. Can’t forget their furbabies- Joey Mae and Reed (their dogs), Paisley, King, and Nathaniel (their cats), poison dart frogs, and their gecko!"
